Troubleshooting Single Items

What does "Disapproved" mean?

Your item has been disapproved because it does not comply with the Google Base Program Policies. Please let us know if you have any questions.

My item expired. How do I republish it?

Once your item expires, it will be stored in your inactive items until you restore or delete it. To restore the item, log in to your Google Base account and click "Inactive Items" at the top of the page. Select the item you'd like to restore and click "Activate."

What does "Your Google Base item doesn't appear to comply with one or more of our editorial rules" mean?

Google Base proactively monitors all items according to our Program Policies and Editorial Guidelines. If Google Base did not let you post your item, simply click on the request an exemption link on the page in which you received this error (this link will be displayed in a bright yellow box). One of our specialists will then personally review your item and follow up with you shortly.

How can I link my search results directly to my site?

Items posted individually through the Google Base web form will link to Google Base-hosted pages. If you'd like your items to link directly to an external website from our search results, you must bulk upload your items. Be sure to include the "link" attribute in your bulk upload.
